Fire
 |
Fire is associated with summer; it is the time of year when everything has come to maturity, when Nature and human beings are in full bloom. The days are at their longest, there is a heat and a general feeling of carefreeness from the responsibilities of life. |
In summer there is an openness and a willingness to be in contact with other people. The key words for Fire are warmth, love, intimacy, happiness, peace, sensitivity, vulnerability and responsibility.
Fire energy is associated with the emotion of joy, the Heart, Small Intestine, Pericardium and Triple Heater, the colour red, heat, bitter taste, the complexion, and the tongue. Fire energy is the root of our ability to form and maintain relationships with other people and ourselves. It is also where our sexual energy comes from. When out of balance we can become very dispirited, as literally our fire has gone out and is just showing the embers. People can feel in a ‘black hole’ and overwhelmed by the responsibilities of life. Oversensitivity and anxiety can often be causing problems.
